General Instructions for the Semester Paper
Each student will complete a semester paper due in stages throughout the term. The   completed paper is due during finals week. You will receive feedback on each stage, which will enable you to correct problems prior to final submission. Because you need to correct the problems found on each submission, it is important for you to retain this preliminary work throughout the semester.
Data sets you may use:

(a) 1998 General Social Survey - check the "data" link on the left
