Welcome to Sociology 220

Use the navigation menu on the left to get information and materials necessary for this course.

Most students consider this course challenging. If you fail to attend class on a very regular basis, you will not pass this course.  If you attend classes regularly and complete all assignments, however, you likely will do well.

Here are a few things to consider:

  • Before sending emails to the instructor or his assistants, please check the link to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the left.
  • I will be using powerpoint slides extensively in class. On this site are semi-complete handouts containing the slides. If you miss class you must obtain the information to complete the slides from another student.
  • My assistants and I cannot send notes or completed slides from missed classes.
  • Students are responsible for regularly checking the class calendar for assignment due dates. I will attempt to remind everyone about upcoming due dates, but I may not always remember to do so.
